Books are the life hodge-podge journey that should be a little crinkled, a little torn, a little worn in. The words contained on the pages within are what make the books beautiful.

Don’t be shallow and take the book for it’s skin.

I want to hire a young man or woman to come once a week and play the violin for me. Maybe not any time soon, but he has to have the passion of a player who enjoys the spine tingling notes he plays and it has to show in his face.

Until then, I am buying my man his piano so I can always have the music when he desires.

I wish I were rich enough to be able to get on a plane at 3 in the morning, go somewhere, eat laugh buy enjoy, then be able to come home in the evening that same day.

It’s like I don’t even want to travel anymore. I don’t want to be stranded miles and miles away from home with a bag of my selected things. I want to have a window to life where all the locations I desire will come up to that window and allow me to see and observe and enjoy. Maybe it will let me order some local cusine and a specified realm-walker waiter will deliver it to me. Then I can go to sleep in my own bed and enjoy the adventure of the local area.

Maybe that’s why books were invented.

It’s one of those days where I want to be curled up in a warm blanket on the couch with a good book, and earl grey tea with steamed milk and raw sugar on the ottoman, with a hot bowl of saag, a plate of sushi, with my dogs being calm (for once) at my feet and the external comfort of library work with a side of doggie day-care part time work or a floral shop. With my man picking out good movies, or playing video games and hearing the comfort of his voice droning on about achievements and stats.
Yeah, it’s that kind of day :)

and raw cookie dough.

Practice of Perspective

Picture in your mind a dice cube suspended on a black background.
Twirl the die to see all 6 sides.
Now focus on the sphere of black background and picture all the angles you could see the die from.

Now, take a breath, and try to picture all sides of the die simlutationously.
If your mind sped up and your spine seemed exposed to air, even for the breifest of seconds (also if the front wrinkle of your brain on the left side of your forehead is throbbing a little) you have experienced the practice of perspective introduced to me from a friend of the past. One of the experiences that allowed me later to feel the space in between time, that elated and delighted me. One of the things that has shaped me as who I am today and one of the stepping stones in a long line of personal enlightenment.
If anyone can take a piece of this for their own path, then showing a piece of my strange mind to the world has been worthwhile.

And people wonder why I read. :p
